For the 2025 Annual Conference, we partnered with Nonprofit New York to build a unified visual system that embodies the essence of “Onward … Together.” Our team developed a complete design ecosystem, from the core wordmark and color story to speaker toolkits, key area identities, the website, and on-site environmental graphics. Every element was crafted to reflect the sector’s resilience, the momentum of collective action, and the spirit of community that anchors this year’s theme.

Nonprofit New York approached us to elevate their 2025 Annual Conference. While the event was planned around their nine Key Areas of Nonprofit Management, these areas existed only as dense written statements, like operating guidelines. We recognized that the Key Areas were actually the organization’s core pillars, their SDGs hiding in plain sight. We proposed redesigning and systematizing them as a mini-rebrand to unify the organization’s voice, strengthen their thought leadership, and anchor all conference communications.

We built a complete visual system around the Key Areas, created a cohesive conference brand under this year’s theme “Onward … Together”, and produced an integrated suite of materials: a conference website, fundraising and pitch decks, a digital toolkit for presenters, a promotional video, event signage, and all printed collateral.

The result is a modern, strategic, and highly recognizable identity that positions Nonprofit New York as a sector leader, giving the 2025 Conference a strong, mission-driven narrative foundation and establishing clear, durable pillars for their future communication efforts, a reminder that the nonprofit sector can look every bit as sleek and professional as any other, and arguably deserves it the most.

Beyond the core identity, we designed a fully integrated event experience: presentation templates, motion design for stage screens, step and repeat backdrops, navigational signage, digital and print collateral, and a comprehensive social toolkit for speakers and partners. The result is a flexible yet cohesive system that supports clarity, accessibility, and inspiration, helping 1,000 nonprofit leaders come together with focus and energy.

As part of the conference identity, we designed a simple, user-friendly badge system. A single, pre-built template allowed contributors to generate their own badges by uploading a photo and entering basic information. The system removed the need for individual design support while maintaining visual consistency across all outputs. The badges were widely shared across social platforms, extending the identity into participants’ own networks and reinforcing the event’s visibility.
